Thanks to Jia min, we followed the heritage trail in city hall and landed ourselves in front of Curry Favor Restaurant one beautiful afternoon.

Situated at Stamford house in city hall, Curry Favor provides us an unique European-feel atmosphere while savoring Japanese Curry dishes.

Yes, Japanese curry dishes, not Indian curry kind. However, you get to eat it in an Indian way.

See the genie lamp-like container that holds our curry sauce? That’s wat I mean by the Indian way. Or should I say the Arab way? Forget it.

Ask my dar and he’ll tell you how happy I am to be served this way. I get to pour in my curry sauce as and when I like without the curry sauce hindering the taste of my fried chicken katsu, which usually, in other restaurants, gets soggy after being dipped in the curry sauce after a while.

One thing to note is that the rice is really A-L-O-T. they placed it so nicely in an oval shape and made it seem so friendly that you won’t notice it’s scari-ness until you started eating and you’ll realised you can’t seem to finish them all! But well, luckily I got my superb nice curry sauce to go with the rice, so mian2 qiang3 can squeeze in keke

The interior of the restaurant makes me feel like I’m dining in modern Paris in a sunny breezy afternoon~~Really love the quiet location it’s situated in. Best way to enjoy Europe when you dun have money to go=.=

For your information, Curry Favor offers a range of different combination of Japanese curry rice, from the normal katsu curry to seafood curry, aiming to suit all taste buds found in Singapore . Best still, for ppl whose taste buds are not strong enough to withstand the chilli power, you get to choose if you want your curry sauce to be super spicy or mild spicy. (Even though I feel that the super spicy are not really spicy enough…)

Best deals are in weekdays’ afternoons, where you get to order their lunch set at 12.99++ which comes with one curry rice dish, complimentary drinks and miso soup/salad. Dinner rates are a bit expensive though, (depending on your spending power), costing from 16++ for a normal katsu curry rice to 20++ for expensive soft shell crab curry rice. Or if you happen to pass by on Monday, do drop by for their 2-for-1 curry rice promotion. (second curry rice comes free!)

As for taste wise, what can i say, of cos go~~~ood la! Really love the rich curry sauce and the crispy fried chicken n fish! However I’ll give it a 4/5 due to it’s costly price =x

Went to fast food restaurant before heading out to become beach babe and hunk. We didn't try this before but after trying, its only worth 3 thumbs up. Why ? Cos' the price is a bit too steep, 5 bucks for the burger without the drinks and fries, top up $2.90 to get the latter. So that adds up to around $8 per meal. But again, this is something to be expected from places like vivocity.

The food is ok only, the only interesting thing is that we could add sunny side up as sides to our meal set, notice that it is not really very professionally done. Must be one of the ah boy behind cooking.

Want to be beach babe cannot eat too much.

So long since we went to a restaurant of this genre after the feat at Jurong Point and Glasshouse's Fish and Co. First time here with dAr DaR and we really anticipated about the food, especially dAr DaR who wanted to try out the calamari. And the occasion also calls for it, its daR's birthday ! Turns out dar dar likes the prawns more then the calamari and I just loved my 3 pieces of oysters which is in the platter set.

The service here in the Plaza Singapura branch is really efficient. We get everything we want promptly. (Not that we are difficult customers, we just want more tartar MORE!!) and the staff is polite too. Makes the dining experience much better. So peeps, do go down to try it if you haven't.

Went to the Mind Cafe which is actually in our list for a very long time already but didn't have the time to go until after the exams. I gave it a three thumbs up because people dun usually go there and eat, they go there to play games so the food is somehow typical. But we do have a lot of fun there since its the first time that I've been there.

dAr DaR so happy with the food there, see her cute face!!

Went out to eat Dinner Buffet with dAr Dar at the Causeway Point Sakae Sushi to celebrate me finishing the exams for Semester 4. There's a little mishap today due to that there's a miscommunication. We knew there is a normal dinner buffet at selected places and dAr DaR went to check with the Woodlands Branch and they told us that indeed there is. But when we reached there, we found out that they are referring to the new Sushi Buffet which costs $29 ++ for a head. Almost the same selection but more expensive though. Worth it if you are a sushi / sashimi lover.

Went for some impromptu food hunting after skipping dinner to watch our secondary school Ang Mo Kio Secondary's band perform at the Esplanade. They got a Gold with honors for their feat at the Central Judging and so they have this honor of performing there. After that we passed by this restaurant which we wanted to go in many times but due to the crowd always there we didn't until today because its 8.00pm already.

We ordered meatball pasta and seafood linguine pasta and some sides like potato wedges, calamari rings. (All dAr DaR's favourite) The food there is tasty too even though its kind of oily . You could see the amount of oil they used after you finish the pasta. The sides were normal standard or I should say the minimal standard one should produce. I have no problems with the staff. They are prompt and courteous to us. If you're in town, do pop by this restaurant to try it. I'm going to try the burger's next time !

This is the first time yummisutra's Yao Liang and Hui Sin goes for BBQ together at the Yishun Dam. So please don't drive your car down to this address. There's no restaurant there! Since its food we might blog about this. Its interesting how we could buy a few items, get the charcoal set and we can have a simple meal together out in the wild. =) Ok, not really a simple meal considering that we spend a lot of time trying to start the fire. It's almost an impossible task as the wind there is simply too strong but no fear cos we are too hungry to care about anything. After that we have some good food and fun together. My favourite item is the shabu shabu. It really tastes very very good under the BBQ fire so peeps, get this item for you BBQ next time !! A must try for couples.

Went to this restaurant with dAr DaR on Valentine's Day this year. The place is tucked in the busy street of Boat Quay lined with pubs and bars. The exterior designs is unique and i'm impressed with the interior too. I think this could be due to that they are prepared for Valentine's Day. The food is generally good and quite cheap too considering the type of restaurant there. According to dAr DaR, the service there is very good, the staffs are polite and professional and they tend to our request promptly. The most important thing is that they know how to serve the appetizers first before serving the main course which is a plus point. Everyone should try it !!

Went with dAr DaR to try out the Pepper Lunch at Ngee Ann City. I've always wanted to try out the pepper lunch which is recommended by DaR. The idea of cooking yourself in the hot plate is something new to me but they have their bad points too. The hot plate tends to cool down very quickly and left my beef set and the eggs to be uncooked. Luckily the staff there helped to heat up my plate again which is nice of them. Nothing much to commend about the service as this is something like a fast food restaurant.

This is the restaurant that we went to for dAr DaR's birthday this year. I mean year 2007. I think that this concept thought up by the people behind this is good, something fresh from the normal setting seen in all restaurant. Everything is in pink !! A word of caution is that a group of boys is strongly advised not to come to this place, so that people would not mistaken you for something else...

We ordered baked rice, pasta and some sides like the tomato soup base mussels. The servings are quite generous and the food taste good. I liked the mussels in tomato soup very much. The size of the mussels are large and we have a great difficulty finishing the 12 mussels in the bowl after a hearty filling of the pasta and the baked rice. Comes with drinks and ice cream too and they don't costs you a bomb to go there. We only spent $30++ for the 3 items which fill us to the brim. Worth going there once in a while.

Happened to go to Ikea for a walk and we ended up at the restaurant at the 4th floor of the super mega store in Tampines. A must try at this restaurant is the swedish meatball which has its unique taste, the sauce adds to the overall yummy factor. I loved it with the jam that they provided with it too. We also ordered drinks and some chicken wings to go together, they are fantastic too. Another interesting point about this restaurant is that people, young and old, are captivated by the cute trolleys which people used to hold their food. They can hold layers of trays and people just loved to fill them up with food and pushing them along the alleys. Perfectly yummy.
